I'm giving S and J Auto one star because of a few different reasons. I did have a very positive experience with the guys, super friendly and nice. There was a little rattle when I drove the vehicle figured it to be not too big of a deal, would take it in to have it looked at. They told me this vehicle just had a lot of work done, which they had the receipt for and told me they had the mechanic look it over real good and there wasn't anything majorly wrong with it. Three days later. THREE DAYS after I bought this vehicle the check engine light came on giving me a catalytic converter code. Take it in to my shop and hello there is a list of things wrong with this vehicle including a hole the size of a golf ball in the muffler, how does a mechanic miss this? (and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced also $$$$$) the little rattle turning out to be the tiniest of my repair cost list- so after I paid over 1/4 the money I actually paid for my vehicle; I have a super sweet vehicle and I DO love my truck. But it makes me question the honesty of s and j or perhaps the mechanic s and j relies on. Therein also lies the risk you take with any used vehicle without a warranty but still, 3 days later and check engine light? So if you're looking for a new vehicle be just a little leery or atleast have a back up stash of cash to fix any problems you may find.
